Using Technology to Enhance Ability
TransCanada PipeLines is our Partner in developing the Assistive Technology complement at Champions.
With TransCanada's financial support, Champions will operate a contemporary, functionally proven, and cost-effective resource program of assistive technology to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their career aspirations.
The TransCanada Assistive Technology Program encompasses three complementary resource areas designed to address the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

The three main areas address the assistive technology requirements for various disabilities organized into four main categories: Visual; Hearing; Mobility; and Cognitive or Language.
I. The Computer Lab provides clients with general access to word processing and the Internet.
II. The Library (alt-6) provides a designated area for 'quiet', reflective, and focused tasks including research, personal study, reading, and magnification capability for print materials.
III. The Resource Office is an area for one-to-one assistance and accommodates any noise-producing tasks of teaching and conversation, Braille printing, testing and training.
