The Alex
For thirty-five years, The Alex Community Health Centre has been the leader in health care delivery to at-risk, low-income, homeless, and immigrant Calgarians.  Based on its focus of generating tangible results, The Alex has thirty-five years of success stories. Throughout the years, it has assisted families and communities facing poverty, addiction, poor health and unemployment, overcome the challenges they face in this booming city and grow beyond their barriers.

The Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association
The Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association was formed on June 13th, 1951 by a group of parents, each of whom was dealing with a similar, yet somewhat varied disability of their children who had not yet received any diagnoses. It was some time later that Canadian doctors, finally learned to recognize the traits of Cerebral Palsy. It was shortly after this, that the Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association saw the need to start some sort of treatment and support program for individuals with Cerebral Palsy.

CMHA
The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), founded in 1918, is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada. Each year, it provides direct service to more than 100,000 Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff across Canada in over 135 communities.

DDRC
The Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary (DDRC) is a non-profit, registered, charitable organization dedicated to including people with developmental disabilities into the community in real and meaningful ways. Real and meaningful ways means being able to attend the same school as other children and in the same classroom, securing a real job with real wages, living in a real home of your own choosing, and having friends. DDRC not only provides programs and services to support children and adults with developmental disabilities, but also exists as a resource centre to the general public to support the inclusion of all people.

DHHS
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Society is a registered charity that supports the deaf community in Alberta. We provide programs, classes, equipment and services including ASL (American Sign Language) interpreting to address the needs of children, adults and their families affected by hearing loss. 15% of school age children have hearing deficits at high & low frequencies.

The Epilepsy Association
The Epilepsy Association was founded in 1955 by W.D. Taylor, and is Canada's oldest incorporated epilepsy organization. 2005 will mark our 50th year of providing services in Calgary and the surrounding area. Volunteers have formed the heart and soul of our organization from its earliest days.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta - Calgary Chapter (LDAA-CC)
A not-for-profit organization that provides information, resources and programs to children and adults with learning disabilities. The LDAA-CC has been assisting individuals with learning disabilities since being approved by the Government of Alberta Consumer and Corporate Affairs under the Societies Act in the summer of 1974. Originally formed as a parent-operated volunteer organization to advocate for improved learning conditions on behalf of children with learning disabilities, LDAA-CC has helped organize many programs to achieve the mission.

URSA
Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) is a Calgary-based non-profit agency which was established in 1985. Our objective is to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in community settings. "Universal" refers to an agency willing to develop and provide needed rehabilitation services not currently in existence. It also identifies URSA's commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise with other national and international rehabilitation centres.

Viable Calgary
Viable Calgary is a workforce initiative focused on assisting employers increase the engagement of employees with disabilities. Our services are designed to support and assist Calgary employers in diversifying their workplaces to ensure they can find the right person for the right job in the face of the changing workforce environment. We are focused on building productive linkages between industry, job placement agencies and people with disabilities.

Walk In Closet
Located in downtown Calgary, the Walk-In Closet provides its' clients with interview and work appropriate attire, including cosmetics, accessories and outerwear. This is all at no cost to our clients. They are referred to us from various community service agencies and educational institutions. Ongoing support is also available through our Employment and Life Skills Program.
