Gold Seal Partners
The Disability Gold Seal of Recognition will acknowledge any employer or industry association that is committed to hiring and retaining individuals with disabilities and become the benchmark to which employers should aspire. The accreditation will demonstrate the change in attitudes among organizations within the Calgary marketplace and increase employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
To obtain the Disability Gold Seal of Recognition will require:
- Disability Awareness & Sensitivity Training (Workplace Inclusion Sessions)
- The willingness to provide accommodations.
- A company policy which centres on the attraction and retention of persons with disabilities.
- A letter of recommendation from a service provider or Champions Career Centre.
- Organization will also agree to include on job advertisements their willingness to accept resumes from persons with disabilities.
The Disability Gold Seal of Recognition is a program that will increase the knowledge of disability awareness, the existence of an untapped talent pool and community agency services which will increase the hiring and retention of persons with disabilities.
