Accommodation Funding (DRES)
Disability Related Employment Supports ("DRES") is a government program which provides assistance to people with disabilities, and to employers, to help make the workplace more accessible. Modifications may include: specialized software, workstation modifications, accessible work areas and washrooms, or Interpreters.
Champions assist clients and employers in the completion of the required paperwork for submission to the DRES department.
Please note that some basic requirements from the client and employer such as: a resume, written medical confirmation of your disability, a minimum of two cost quotes for equipment or services, confirmed employment (letter from the employer on company letterhead), and a personal letter(from the client) stating why the equipment is necessary must all be submitted for DRES approval.
